"Form follows emotion" is one of the maxims that informs ROSS LOVEGROVE’s designs. Born in Wales in 1959, he received his training as an industrial designer at Manchester Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art, then joined Frog Design Germany. At the start of the ‘90s Lovegrove opened his own office, Studio X, in London. Over the course of his career, he has spread his design talent around the globe. His various design projects for Driade, Luceplan, Knoll, and Louis Vuitton.
ACME Studios is an international product design company founded in Los Angeles 1985. The success factor is the intensive cooperation with globally recognized architects, designers, artists, foundations, estates and institutions. In 1997, ACME released their first collection of fine writing tools.
The company's founders, Adrian Olabuenaga and Lesley Bailey, launched ACME in 1985 with a collection of jewelry designed by Peter Shire, a member of the world-renowned Memphis Group. This graduated to working with all fourteen Memphis Designers such as Andrea Branzi, Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass.
