Established in 1986 by Iranian-born Cornell-educated sisters GISUE HARIRI and MOJGAN HARIRI, this New York based firm is one of the most progressive American firms of their generation. For nearly 25 years, they have imbued conceptual, residential, commercial and institutional projects with their own unique brand of sensual modernism.
ACME Studios is an international product design company founded in Los Angeles 1985. The success factor is the intensive cooperation with globally recognized architects, designers, artists, foundations, estates and institutions. In 1997, ACME released their first collection of fine writing tools.
The company's founders, Adrian Olabuenaga and Lesley Bailey, launched ACME in 1985 with a collection of jewelry designed by Peter Shire, a member of the world-renowned Memphis Group. This graduated to working with all fourteen Memphis Designers such as Andrea Branzi, Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass.
